Aims

Tarbia Insight: Journal of Islamic Education is an international journal dedicated to advancing the discourse on Human-Centered Islamic Education by exploring how individuals learn, think, decide, interact, develop, and flourish within Islamic educational systems. The journal aims to publish high-quality interdisciplinary research that enhances understanding of human capabilities, ethical development, educational experiences, institutional practices, and learning ecosystems through the integration of Islamic educational perspectives and the principles of Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE).

The journal seeks to promote research that contributes to theoretical development, methodological advancement, and practical improvement of educational systems by examining the relationships among human factors, learning processes, organizational environments, technologies, and educational outcomes. A common thread across the journal’s focus areas is the exploration of how human-centered approaches can support meaningful learning, ethical formation, professional competence, well-being, informed decision-making, and sustainable transformation across diverse Islamic educational contexts.

Scope

The journal welcomes original research employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, systematic review, and other innovative methodologies that contribute to advancing Human-Centered Islamic Education. The scope covers three broad areas: human learning, development, and flourishing; human-centered educational systems and innovation; and educational behavior, decision sciences, and contemporary Islamic education challenges. These include research on human cognition and learning processes, judgment and decision-making, assessment and feedback, educational psychology, human factors in educational systems, Islamic educational philosophy, ethical development, Maqasid-oriented human development, well-being, and future-oriented educational transformation.
The journal welcomes contributions from diverse Islamic educational settings, including schools, madrasas, pesantren, higher education institutions, community education, informal learning environments, and lifelong learning contexts.
